If you want to insure a single vehicle, typically worth more than £50,000 new, we’re able to match your requirements with one of our partner insurers to provide motor cover and a service unlike any other.
We are able to include the following covers for most of the High Value and Prestige Car Motor Insurance policies that we issue:
Automatic Comprehensive Cover on borrowed vehicles
Historically, comprehensive private car policies only provide third party cover when you borrow another vehicle. The panel of insurers we liaise with at Schofield includes fully comprehensive cover on any vehicle you rent or borrow for you and any other named driver on the policy. We’re also able to extend cover to Any Driver for your vehicles.
Agreed Insured Value
Insurers of private cars normally settle total loss and theft claims based on the market value of your vehicle at the time of loss. The High Net Worth Car Insurance policies we’re able to provide at Schofield offer “agreed value” cover, so the value of your car is locked in for the entire policy term. If you need to make a claim to replace your vehicle, you’ll receive 100% of the value we agreed whether it’s day 1 or day 365 of the policy.
Courtesy Cars suitable for your needs
We can arrange cover so that if your repairer doesn’t provide a courtesy car, or the one that they have provided is unsatisfactory to you, our panel insurers can provide up to £4,000 for you to rent a car of a similar specification to your own.
You choose the most suitable repairer
Most insurers stipulate where your vehicle should be repaired. At Schofield our partner insurers allow you to select the most suitable garage or dealer, or we can help you select one from their approved repairer network.
No Penalty for “no fault” claims
We’re able to include non-fault claim protection, even if we can’t make a full recovery against the party at fault. Certain insurers will agree not to increase your premium or count a loss against you when the loss isn’t your fault, for instance if you are the victim of vandalism, or if your car is hit when parked.
Unlimited Audio/Stereo Cover
Our partner insurers cover your stereo for the full replacement cost, where many providers will limit a loss payment to £250.
No deduction for wear and tear
Most insurers ask for a contribution to the replacement cost of parts where standard wear and tear applies i.e. such as tyres being part-worn prior to an accident. However, we are able to provide quotations with insurers that will replace parts without cost to you.
Free Breakdown Cover
Breakdown cover for the UK and Continental Europe is included for you and your family when driving any car.
Cover for Legal Expenses
Cover is provided for solicitor’s fees when pursuing a claim for personal injury or uninsured losses – the amounts vary from panel insurer.
